A printer’s quoting problem created Sage: how a Newcastle start-up became business-software infrastructure
David Goldman founded Sage in 1981 after wanting software that could create quotes and manage accounting for his print business. He worked with Newcastle University computer specialist Paul Muller and student Graham Wylie to build the system.
