The history of TietoEVRY: origins, milestones and its 2026 business

TietoEVRY was created on 5 December 2019 when Finland’s Tieto and Norway’s EVRY completed a cross-border merger, combining two established Nordic technology-services businesses.

How TietoEVRY developed

The company subsequently styled its name Tietoevry and reorganised its portfolio around software, consulting and digital-engineering businesses. It continued reshaping the group through acquisitions and divestments, including the sale of its Tech Services business in 2025.

By 2026, Tietoevry operated as a Nordic-rooted software and digital-services group serving businesses and public-sector organisations.
