From early roots to vertical-market communications software: the Lumine Group story

How Lumine Group developed

Constellation introduced the Lumine identity as a dedicated group in 2020. Lumine became a separately traded company in February 2023 through a spin-out combined with the acquisition of WideOrbit.

By 2026, Lumine owned and operated specialised software businesses in communications and media, following a buy-and-hold acquisition model.

Its structure reflects the Constellation approach to software investing: acquire durable niche products, keep them relatively decentralised and focus on long-term cash generation rather than forcing them onto one platform.
