Sprout Social was founded in Chicago in 2010 by Justyn Howard, Aaron Rankin, Gil Lara and Peter Soung after the founders identified a need for better tools to manage business activity across social networks. By 2026 Sprout Social provides social-media management and intelligence software for organisations ranging from smaller businesses to large enterprises.
